Hudson recently missed time for the same issue and only made two appearances before winding back on the disabled list. He pitched a scoreless inning last Sunday against the Seattle Mariners and then giving up a two-run home run in 1.1 innings on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Overall in 40 games for the Dodgers this season, Hudson has pitched to a 4.11 ERA, 4.37 FIP and 1.22 WHIP while striking out 44 and walking 18 in 46 innings. It is unknown how long he will be out for, but considering this is the second time this month he has required a disabled list stint due to a forearm issue, it may be a while before he returns.

Garcia was dealing with a forearm issue as well, and hasn’t pitched in the Majors since July 3. He has appeared in 20 games for the Dodgers in what’s his first season coming off Tommy John surgery.

Garcia owns a 5.21 ERA, 6.36 FIP and 1.47 WHIP to go along with 16 strikeouts and three in 19 innings.

He has also appeared in 14 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, pitching to a 4.30 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 14.2 innings. Garcia was once an integral part of the Dodgers bullpen, and he will look to aid a unit that has struggled greatly in recent weeks.
