During her legendary tennis career, King captured 39 Grand Slam singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles, including a record 20 Wimbledon championships. She also finished as the year-end No. 1 player in the world on six occasions.

King was subsequently named one of the “100 Most Important Americans of the 20th Century” by LIFE magazine. She is also the first woman athlete to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom and first individual woman athlete to receive the Congressional Gold Medal.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome Billie Jean King to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in statement.

“We are proud to bestow the Sports Entertainment star to Billie Jean King. She is the first female athlete to be honored in that category.”

King joins the Dodgers organization, Orel Hershiser and Vin Scully with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

When did Billie Jean King join Dodgers ownership group?

King joined the Dodgers ownership group at the end of the 2018 season with wife Ilana Kloss.
