1981 World Series Tri-MVPs Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero and Steve Yeager Highlight Dodgers’ 2016 Old-Timers Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Old-Timers Game on July 2 before their matchup against the Colorado Rockies. The annual event will honor Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero and Steve Yeager, the trio more commonly known as the tri-MVPs of the 1981 World Series.

Along with Cey, Guerrero and Yeager, Dodgers greats Sandy Koufax, Tommy Lasorda, Don Newcombe, Tommy Davis, Maury Wills, Fernando Valenzuela and Orel Hershiser are among those scheduled to participate in the Old-Timers Game.

Batting practice begins at 4:00 p.m. PT, with pregame introductions for the two-inning game starting at 5:00 p.m. Auto and stadium gates open at 4:10 p.m. Admission to the Old-Timers Game is free with the purchase of a ticket to the Dodgers game that evening.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance for game against the Rockies will receive a bobblehead that features the World Series tri-MVPs. Time Warner Cable SportsNet LA will air the Old-Timers Game live.
