Walker Buehler is joining the Fox Sports team on Friday as a guest analyst for their coverage of Game 3 of the National League Division Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.
Kevin Burkhardt is set to anchor the studio desk, which includes Hall of Famers Frank Thomas and David Ortiz alongside World Series champion Alex Rodriguez.
Furthermore, 2003 World Series champion Dontrelle Willis will join Buehler for select NLDS matchups as a pitching analyst. Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci will also contribute to pregame and postgame coverage.
Fox Sports 1 (FS1) is scheduled to begin their coverage one hour before the 5:37 p.m. PT start time at Petco Park.

It’s been a somewhat busy week for Buehler, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2. Buehler lofted a strike left-handed to Dodgers coach José Vizcaíno.
“Walker needs the center of attention at all cost, so he found it,” Clayton Kershaw joked. “I think he is doing the Fox broadcast too. He will be out there.
“No, Walker has obviously been a really huge part of this team and we’re going to miss him at this time. He has obviously pitched some huge games for us. Won a lot of huge postseason games for us, so we’re going to miss him. I think it’s great that we’re letting him be a part of it, and I hope he gets the standing ovation he deserves.”
Could Walker Buehler return from Tommy John surgery in 2023?
Although the general assumption is Buehler will miss the entire 2023 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, he and the Dodgers have not officially ruled out the possibility of pitching next year.
