Trevor Bauer remains the subject of separate investigations by Major League Baseball and the Pasadena Police Department over alleged sexual assault incidents, and each week that passes makes it less likely he will return to the Los Angeles Dodgers this season.
Bauer last pitched on June 28, which was the night before a San Diego woman obtained an ex parte restraining order against him over allegations of sexual misconduct. Pasadena Police launched their criminal investigation July 1, and MLB placed Bauer on leave the following day.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred was able to do so unilaterally, but extending it and keeping him on the restricted list has required approval from the Players Association.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, MLB and the union agreed on Bauer’s leave being extended for a seventh time:

The latest extension does not come as any surprise despite L.A. Superior Court judge Dianna Gould-Saltman dismissing the temporary restraining order that had been in place. Bauer’s leave was extended another week hours after a hearing for civil matter reached its conclusion.
Furthermore, law enforcement and MLB both continue to investigate Bauer. Commissioner Rob Manfred still has the authority to levy a suspension even if criminal charges are never filed against the right-hander.
The Dodgers have not offered much public comment on the matter and largely have deferred to the league due to their ongoing probe. Team president and CEO Stan Kasten reportedly addressed the situation in an email to employees earlier this month, condemning sexual assault and domestic violence.
Ohio woman obtained restraining order against Bauer
Last year, an Ohio woman obtained a temporary order of protection against because of incidents in 2017 and 2018. The allegations were similar to what Bauer faced in his California civil case, and drew a response as he denounced the claims.
