Dodgers News: Steve Garvey Signing Autographs At Burbank Sportscards

Former Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Steve Garvey is making an appearance at Burbank Sportscards on Wednesday and signing autographs for the first 300 fans to purchase a Topps Series One at the store or online.

Burbank Sportscards is located at 1610 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank, CA 91506. The event begins at 4 p.m. PT.

The appearance is a second time in the last two weeks that Garvey is connecting with Dodgers fans. During FanFest, he hosted a special lunch experience at the Gold Glove Bar inside Dodger Stadium.

Garvey shared memories from his Dodgers career, answered questions from those in attendance and also signed autographs.

Garvey made his MLB with the Dodgers at 20 years old in 1969 and played with them until 1982. He was a valued member of their 1981 World Series team, remembered for both his consistent bat and stellar defense. Garvey played in 1,727 games over 14 seasons with the Dodgers.

While Garvey was productive at the plate, after becoming a member of the San Diego Padres in 1982, he set an MLB record by not committing an error in the field for 150 games in a row during the 1984 season. Furthermore, Garvey holds the National League record with consecutive games played at 1,207.
