Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts is among the celebrities who will play in the annual AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which begins on January 31 and runs through February 6.
The list of participants also includes Don Cheadle, Larry Fitzgerald, Mia Hamm, Michael Peña, Alfonso Ribeiro, Ray Romano and Steve Young, among others.
As for the PGA Tour professionals who will compete in this year’s charity tournament, it’s a talented field that includes the likes of defending champion Daniel Berger, Jason Day and Jordan Spieth, along with several others.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be played on three of the Monterey Peninsula’s premier golf courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore.
The total purse for the event is $8.7 million, with $1.44 million going to the first-place winner. The Monterrey Peninsula Foundation is once again staging the tournament and will surpass $200 million in charitable contributions this year.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been the benchmark for generating millions of dollars for over seven decades, donating annually to nonprofits throughout Monterey and the surrounding communities.
The tournament originated in Rancho Santa Fe, California in 1937 when Bing Crosby invited some friends to play golf, enjoy a clambake and a raise money for charity.
Tickets for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am are currently available or purchase. General admission for children 15 and under is free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Children ages two and up are required to have a ticket for Palmer’s Club 18 and Clint’s Saloon.
