Mookie Betts is hosting his second annual bowling event on Saturday, February 3, at Lucky Strike L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star will be joined by family, friends and fans for the event, with all proceeds benefitting his charity, the 5050 Foundation, which strives to bring out “every kid’s incredible potential.”

Tickets are on sale for the event, which includes drinks, food, red carpet access and a viewing area to watch the bowling tournament. Sponsorship opportunities will also be available, and a silent auction for autographed memorabilia is going to be held as well.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, general manager Brandon Gomes, J.D. Martinez and Miguel Vargas were among those who attended last year’s inaugural event.

“It’s huge,” Betts said of the night to help raise awareness and resources for children in need. “When I initially got here, it was COVID, so I wasn’t familiar with any of the territory. But now that it’s opened up, I’m able to get out and set my sights on where we can help. Kids is our direction.”

Betts is an avid bowler with multiple perfect games under his belt, and he even participated in the 2023 Professional Bowlers Association’s (PBA) U.S. Open.

“Bowling is the first thing I started doing,” Betts said at last year’s event. “I was doing that before anything else, and honestly it just never stopped. It’s just a passion that I have and am always going to keep.”

Mookie Betts’ 5050 Foundation

The 5050 Foundation has a mission of “breaking the barriers that hold kids back, especially when it comes to their medical and financial needs. The Foundation is empowering the next generation to make the most of their lives – and make a bigger difference in our world.”

The four pillars of the 5050 foundation are mental/emotional health, nutrition, financial literacy and physical fitness.
