Muncy became the first player in MLB history to have a three-hit game on the same day his college won the Division 1 basketball title. The Dodgers’ slugger was the designated hitter that night, which allowed for ample opportunities to check on the Bears’ score in the clubhouse.

Baylor honors Muncy

Muncy was a freshman All-American at Baylor in 2010 and led the Bears in most offensive categories in 2011 prior to being drafted by the A’s.
