With each MLB season typically comes players selecting new walk-up songs for their at-bats during home games. For the Los Angeles Dodgers, it brings about a blend of classics from various genres and new hit-singles that can be found atop a music chart.
Since making his MLB debut in 2017, Cody Bellinger has chosen a wide variety of songs from rap to classic rock, including “Alive” by Lil Jon, Offset and 2 Chainz, and “Hotel California” by The Eagles.
This season the 26-year-old is using “Hustler Musik” by five-time Grammy Award winner Lil Wayne as his walk-up song. The track is from Wayne’s 2005 album “Tha Carter II,” which went double platinum in 2020.
Bellinger’s walk-up song garnered the attention of the hit rapper, who expressed his appreciation on Twitter.

Bellinger went 1-for-3 in Wednesday’s Freeway Series finale against the Los Angeles Angels, and for the season, is batting .206/.275/.388 with 13 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases across 57 games.
Despite some overall struggles and inconsistency, Bellinger has generally been pleased with his swing. “It’s been feeling good,” he recently said.
“And just some balls haven’t fallen and sometimes I’m chasing. And the combination of that, it’s tough. So focusing on staying within myself and letting the game come to me and just doing all the little things.”
Bellinger enjoying ‘Club Dub’ atmosphere with Mookie Betts as DJ
The Dodgers recently unveiled a new celebration after every win, “Club Dub,” in which the clubhouse is transformed into a nightclub, complete with turntables, fog machines and strobe lights.
“Most definitely not me,” Bellinger recently said when asked if he came up with the idea. “This is Mookie’s setup. That was a little pregame for Mookie, that’s why we got a dub. It was going hard. He was teaching J.T. J.T.’s got a lot to learn.”
