On May 28, 1957, National League owners voted unanimously to approve the Brooklyn Dodgers’ move to Los Angeles. Now 62 years later, the landmark decision is being celebrated with Kiké Hernandez and Justin Turner headlining an Adidas L.A. event at the famed Philippe’s The Original.
Located at 1001 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles, Calif., 90012, and less than two miles from Dodger Stadium, Philippe’s is a popular stop for fans both prior to and after games. To commemorate Tuesday’s event, Philippe’s will offer their famous French Dip sandwiches for $1.57 to the first 750 guests, limit one per customer.
Adidas is hosting a day of music, gear customization, food and a live art installation by Jonas Never. The muralist previously created a painted version of Turner’s walk-off home run from the 2017 National League Championship Series, among other pieces related to the Dodgers and Lakers.
Each customer who wishes to attend the Adidas event must pre-register at http://www.adidasxphilippe.com/ and upon arrival check in at the Adidas truck located in the Philippe’s parking lot. Attendees will be required to show their registration confirmation email in exchange for a voucher good for one Adidas Home Run special ($1.57 French Dip).
Patrons can order any of Philippe’s famous French Dips; beef, lamb, pastrami, pork or ham and add cheese if desired for the special $1.57 price via voucher. All other menu items will be available at regular price.
Fans will also be able to sign up for the Adidas membership program, Creator’s Club, and receive gifts and gear to then customize at the Maker Lab on-site.
