Justin Turner and his wife Kourtney made their way to the Honda Center on Saturday night for UFC 270, which was headlined by Francis Ngannou defeating Ciryl Gane to unify the heavyweight title.

The Turners were accompanied by Kiké Hernandez and his wife Mariana, and Joe Kelly and wife Ashley. It marked a second time this offseason Turner and Kelly were together for a public appearance.

Last November, they were among those on hand for the grand reopening of The Apple Store at The Grove in Los Angeles. Fellow Dodgers free agent Kenley Jansen was also in attendance, and the trio posed together for a photo with Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Turner later acknowledged he did discuss free agency with Jansen and Kelly, though more so about the process of being on the open market rather than attempting to pressure either relief pitcher to re-sign.

Jansen and Kelly are in a position Hernandez and Turner were after helping the Dodgers win a World Series in 2020. Hernandez sought an everyday role as a free agent and went on to sign a two-year contract with the Boston Red Sox, while Turner re-signed with the Dodgers on a multi-year deal.

After the Dodgers declined their team option on Kelly for the 2022 season in favor of paying a $4 million buyout, president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman made it clear the club was open to re-signing the right-hander.

L.A. is believed to have interest in retaining Jansen as well, but the Dodgers’ all-time saves leader may find a more lucrative contract elsewhere.

Justin Turner Golf Classic returning

After being put on pause last year due the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Justin Turner Golf Classic at Sherwood Country Club is returning. The sixth annual event is scheduled to take place Monday, Feb. 7.

The golf tournament is preceded by a private dinner party on Sunday night. Tickets remain available for purchase, along with various sponsorship opportunities for the golf play.
