The Los Angeles Dodgers’ first look at the Chicago Cubs since the 2016 National League Championship Series included nearly a two-hour rain delay, two injuries, and ended in a walk-off loss.
Franklin Gutierrez, who was removed in the second inning on Monday, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left-hamstring strain. Justin Turner, removed in the eighth inning with quadriceps tightness, avoided the DL on Wednesday but was not included in the lineup.
Turner provided more details on his injury and said he expects to return in the series finale against the Chicago Cubs, via Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group:

Turner went 0-for-3 in the Dodgers’ loss to the Cubs, though reached once via a hit by pitch. Prior to taking a ball off his left arm/elbow area, ESPN aired a replay that appeared to show a pitch graze his left pinky.
On the season Turner is batting .357/.400/.536 appearing and starting in seven of the team’s eight games entering play on Wednesday. Logan Forsythe started at third base in place of Turner, and Chase Utley filled in at second.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Turner is available to pinch-hit Wednesday night.
