The High-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes once again played host to multiple Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday, as Joc Pederson continued with his rehab assignment, and Logan Forsythe began his.

Pederson, who served as the Quakes’ designated hitter and was 0-for-2 with one walk and one strikeout on Monday, started in center field in his second game with the Dodgers’ affiliate. He went 1-for-2, and again had one walk and one strikeout.

Pederson was removed in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Dodgers intend to reinstate the 25-year-old from the disabled list on Friday, for their weekend series against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

He landed on the DL with a right groin strain on April 24. Pederson’s rehab assignment began two days earlier than initially expected, because of progress made in his recovery.

Forsythe held the honor of Quakes DH on Tuesday night, going 1-for-4 with three strikeouts. He was pinch-hit for in the bottom of the ninth.

Forsythe sustained a fractured right big toe when he was hit by a pitch April 18. Forsythe managed to remain in the game and play two more innings before he was removed. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts projected the 30-year-old would miss two or three weeks.

Pain and discomfort have largely subsided, and Forsythe is also a candidate to return this weekend.
