The Los Angeles Dodgers have not only had Hall of Fame players be part of the organization, but legendary broadcasters as well in Vin Scully and Jaime Jarrín. Though Scully is now enjoying retirement, he remains a fixture with the Dodgers.
That’s held particularly true since the former voice of the Dodgers created a Twitter account. He’s used it to connect with fans, congratulate the team on their accomplishments and wax poetic about career experiences.
Jarrín, the Dodgers’ Spanish-language broadcaster, is not to be overlooked in his own right. Jarrín just completed a 62nd season in the booth and is mulling over his future after a multi-year contract extension expired this year.
Jarrín has regularly praised Scully for assisting his career and on Sunday wished him a happy 93rd birthday.

Beginning his career while the team was still in Brooklyn, Scully spent 67 seasons calling Dodgers games. Since retiring, he’s returned to Dodger Stadium for various ceremonies and lent his voice to special projects. The latest of which is the Dodgers’ World Series DVD.
That L.A. won their first championship since 1988 didn’t come as much of a surprise to Scully, who touted the 2020 Dodgers as the best balanced team he’s seen and he went into the World Series expecting them to make relatively quick work of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Jarrín sends condolences, promotes safety
Jarrín has bee active on social media over recent days, with one of his messages sending condolences after soccer legend Diego Maradona passed away.
Days later came a video to promote safety and awareness as families struggle with celebrating the holidays during the ongoing pandemic.
