Scavuzzo had a prolific month of July, batting .349/.383/.708 with eight doubles, 10 home runs, 30 RBI and six stolen bases, hitting safely in 23 of 26 games for the Drillers. When he was recognized for games July 16-22, he went 15-for-28 with three doubles, four home runs, nine RBI and three stolen bases.

That was good for a .536/.581/1.071 slash line, and saw Scavuzzo extend his hitting streak to 21 games before it was snapped July 20. The all-time Drillers record is a 27-game hitting streak.

For the month, Scavuzzo led the Texas League in extra-base hits (18), total bases (75), home runs (10), RBI (30), slugging percentage (.708) and on-base plus slugging (1.090), and he finished third in batting average (.349) and total hits (37).

The 24-year-old received a promotion to Triple-A Oklahoma City in May but struggled in his one month with the affiliate and was sent back to the Drillers. In an interview with DodgerBlue.com, Scavuzzo said he remains committed to reaching the Majors, no matter the hurdles.
