Dodgers News: Game Times For KBO Exhibition Matchups Prior To Seoul Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers open their 2024 regular season with a matchup against the San Diego Padres in the inaugural Seoul Series in South Korea.

It stands to be the ninth international opener for Major League Baseball, and the second in Dodgers history. The two-game set against the Padres will take place at the Gocheok Sky Dome from March 20-21, located in Gocheok-dong, Seoul, South Korea.

The Padres and Dodgers will also face off against the Kiwoom Heroes and the LG Twins of the KBO League, in addition to facing the Korean national team, during some exhibition games prior to the regular season.

Start times for each of those matchups have been announced, according to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News:

The Dodgers last took part in an international Opening Series in 2014 when they faced off against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Sydney, Australia.

The Seoul Series is the first leg of the 2024 MLB World Tour, which includes the Mexico City Series and London Series. Additionally, the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will play a pair of Spring Training games at Estadio Quisqueya in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Tickets for Seoul Series between Dodgers & Padres to go on sale

Yoo reported in mid-January that tickets for the Seoul Series between the Dodgers and Padres are to go on sale on January 26, but could be limited to the Coupang Play website and Coupang Wow subscribers, while excluding foreign fans.

MLB, fan and global interest in the Dodgers has risen exponentially with the signings of Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and have gone even higher than previously stated as perennial World Series contenders.
