Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Among MLB All-Stars Participating In Dairy Queen Advertisements

Major League Baseball and American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ) announced a renewed partnership that will see the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Freddie Freeman and additional All-Stars featured in new marketing campaigns during the 2023 season.

Kris Bryant of the Colorado Rockies and Freeman are poised to be appear in TV and online videos along with social media promotions for Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day and Summer Blizzard Treat menu. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves’ Ozzie Albies and Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton will star in their own set of creative work to promote the new 85 cent Blizzard deal in the DQ App.

In celebration of the Summer Blizzard Treat menu tradition and the Blizzard Treat’s debut in 1985, Dairy Queen is offering fans a small Blizzard Treat for $0.85, only available in the DQ mobile app from April 10-23.

The Dodgers were previously represented in the partnership between MLB and Dairy Queen by Cody Bellinger during the 2022 season.

“DQ has long been the postgame celebration spot of choice for families and teams looking for delicious food and treats like our Summer Blizzard Treat Menu, and we’re continuing to partner with MLB and now Little League to give fans their sweetest summer yet,” ADQ vice president of marketing communications Becky Felling said in a statement.

“Across a season full of surprises and partnerships, fans can get ready to treat themselves like champions with our signature items and DQ App offerings.”

The Dairy Queen brand is additionally partnering with Little League International. ADQ will feature Little Leaguers in their May Summer Blizzard Treat menu creative spots and cross-promote the partnership across their digital media channels.

Dairy Queen MLB promotions

ADQ is planning to air national advertising during MLB game broadcasts and across cable and streaming networks. Their restaurants nationwide will offer Blizzard Treat and beverage cups with a special MLB theme.

MLB also is going to host a series of branded sweepstakes this season. The first will award two fans and their guests a chance to win a trip to the 2023 All-Star Game in Seattle, and a second contest offers a chance to win a trip to the 2023 World Series.

Additionally, the DQ brand is continuing to sponsor grand slams throughout the summer. The “Happy 4 Grand Slams” content series will be presented across MLB digital and social media platforms, along with MLB Network.
