Dodgers News: ESPN Adds July 24 Game Against Cardinals To Sunday Night Baseball Schedule

The July 24 contest between the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium will be aired on ESPN’s weekly Sunday Night Baseball telecast beginning at 5:08 PT, the network announced.

The matchup will be available on ESPN, WatchESPN, ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes Radio. Dan Shulman will handle play-by-play duties, and he’ll be joined in the broadcast booth by analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone, while Buster Olney will be serve as the on-field reporter.

The July 24 game is not only the finale of a three-game series between the Cardinals and Dodgers, but it’s also the last game on the Dodgers’ nine-game road trip that begins against the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 15.

For the Dodgers, it will be their sixth time appearing on Sunday Night Baseball this season, compared to the Cardinals’ fourth. In addition, it will mark the second time the clubs have squared off on Sunday Night Baseball, the first coming on May 15 in a game St. Louis won, 5-2, at Dodger Stadium.

Los Angeles is 2-3 on the season in Sunday Night Baseball contests. Their two wins came against the San Francisco Giants on April 17, and New York Mets on May 29.

With one of their three loses coming against the Cardinals as stated above, the other two were against the Giants on June 12 and Pittsburgh Pirates on June 26, both of which were on the road.
