The Los Angeles Dodgers will be part of ESPN’s weekly Sunday Night Baseball telecasts early and often during the 2016 season. The network announced the May 15 game between the Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals has been selected for a national broadcast.

As such, first pitch at Dodger Stadium that Sunday is now scheduled for 5 p.m. PT. The matchup, as are all Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts, will be available on ESPN, ESPN Radio, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Deportes Radio and WatchESPN.

Sunday Night Baseball games are not subject to local blackout restrictions.

Play-by-play man Dan Shulman will be joined this season by analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone, with Buster Olney returning in his role as reporter.

Mendoza became the first woman to work as an analyst during a Major-League broadcast on ESPN last August. She filled in for Curt Schilling on the weekly telecasts for the final month of the 2015 regular season.

The network’s reshuffling moved Schilling to Monday Night Baseball, and John Kruk returns to Baseball Tonight, which created a window of opportunity for Boone.

The May 15 meeting between the Cardinals and Dodgers is the finale in their first-three game series of the 2016 season. Last year Los Angeles finished just 2-5 against St. Louis, who have been a thorn in the Dodgers’ side since the 2013 National League Championship Series.

The Dodgers took one of three games at Busch Stadium last May, and just one of four at Dodger Stadium nearly one week later. The Dodgers are currently slated to be part of four Sunday Night Baseball telecasts this season.

Moreover, ESPN previously announced national coverage of the first two days of the 2016 season. Included in the network’s seven-game slate is the Dodgers’ opener in San Diego against the Padres on Monday, April 4 at 4:05 p.m. PT.
