MLB is taking a break from their traditional uniforms, batting gloves, socks, cleats and more, as Players Weekend is allowing for plenty of creativity. The Los Angeles Dodgers are in a blue jersey with turquoise sleeves and a matching cap for their series with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Beyond jerseys being created with an influence from those seen in Little League, players were permitted to ditch their last name in favor of a nickname. The jerseys also include a patch for players to write who was most instrumental in their path to the Majors.

Some are also using the weekend to don customized cleats. In the case of Curtis Granderson (“Grandy Man”), he had three unique designs created. One pair honors his time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a second recognizes his childhood at Lynwood Little League and Thornton Fractional South High School, and the third is in honor of the Grand Kids Foundation.

Granderson unveiled the cleats on Twitter and announced a raffle:

All proceeds will go to the Grand Kids Foundation, which strives to aid positive youth development via education, physical fitness and nutrition.

Information on Grand Kids Foundation, which Granderson founded in 2007, can be found here. Granderson’s charitable work earned him the 2016 Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award, which Justin Turner was also nominated for.
