Therabody announced Cody Bellinger as one of the brand’s athletes and investors. Bellinger is among more than 100 members in sports and entertainment to provide some level of funding to the leader in tech wellness and percussive massage therapy.

While Bellinger was undergoing treatment from his home in Arizona, he incorporated various Therabody products, including the Theragun and RecoveryAir. “With the length of the baseball season and the quick turnaround time between games, it’s so important to keep my body in the best shape possible,” Bellinger said in a statement.

“Therabody allows me to recover quicker and more efficiently, helping me stay in great shape and keeping my body consistent and even keel through 162 games.”

By signing on as a brand athlete and investor, Bellinger will work with Los Angeles Dodgers training staff, medical experts and the Therabody team to ensure he is receiving the most effective treatment for training and recovery.

Theragun was created in 2008 and launched in 2016 by Dr. Wersland after he suffered a life-altering injury. Theragun is the most trusted percussive massage therapy device among professional sports teams, athletes, trainers and physical therapists in more than 60 countries.

Dodgers signed partnership with Therabody

In April, the Dodgers announced a partnership with Therabody to integrate percussive massage therapy devices and pneumatic compression devices into their training and recovery programs to help improve player health and overall team performance.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Therabody to make their industry-leading products available to our players,” Dodgers director of player performance Brandon McDaniel said at the time.

“With performance and recovery being significant priorities for our organization, this partnership with Therabody will ensure that we’re equipped with the technology that we need to put our players in the best position to succeed.”

Therabody built a custom section in the dugout at Dodger Stadium for players to use devices — such as the Theragun PRO and Wave Roller — during games and workouts, and additional carts of devices have been placed in the bullpen, weight room and recovery room.
