The Los Angeles Dodgers announced the addition of Cody Bellinger bobblehead night to their 2017 promotional and giveaway calendar. The Bellinger bobblehead will be distributed Friday, Sept. 8, when the Dodgers face the Colorado Rockies in the second of a four-game set.

Assuming the season continues to unfold as it has thus far, that series could prove pivotal in what’s shaping to be a tight race in the National League West. The Dodgers have won four consecutive division titles, while the Arizona Diamondbacks last won the division in 2011, and the Rockies have yet to be crowned NL West champions.

Bellinger’s arrival seemingly provided a spark for the Dodgers, who were 9-11 when he made his MLB debut on April 25. Bellinger leads the Majors with 22 home runs during that span.

On Tuesday, he joined Shaw Green as the only players in Dodgers franchise history to hit 10 home runs in 10 games. That was achieved one day after Bellinger became the fastest player in Major League history to 21 career home runs (51 games).

While the Dodgers announced a schedule of promotional and giveaway nights prior to Opening Day, Bellinger joins Julio Urias in bobbleheads that were announced during the season. Urias’ night is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 26.
