Chris Taylor is entering his ninth season with the Los Angeles Dodgers as 2024 Spring Training fast approaches, but before he reports to Camelback Ranch in Arizona, he and his CT3 Foundation are hosting a charity event.

On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Taylor and his wife Mary will be part of the “CT3 Foundation 2024 Charity Polar Plunge” in Manhattan Beach at 10 a.m. PT.

The event is hosted by Mario López acting as the emcee while the Taylor’s will be joined by Dodgers teammates, celebrities and other special guests as they take a plunge into the cold waters of Manhattan Beach.

Tickets for the event are still available with single registration costing $200 and VIP tickets available for $1,000. Donations for the event are also accepted.

All registered guests will enjoy access to vendor booths and will receive a participant gift bag and a finisher’s medal. A reception for VIP ticket holders takes place at 12 p.m. after the event.

The beneficiary of the event is the Friendship Foundation, an organization dedicated to creating friendships and opportunities for people with special needs. Your contribution supports a meaningful cause, making every shiver worthwhile.

Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Manhattan Beach Pier, Tower North, No. 14. Parking is limited, so the foundation asks that participants arrive early to accommodate for parking.

“Excited to announce the CT3 Foundation is having its first CT3 Polar Plunge event Sunday morning, Feb. 4, hosted by Mario Lopez,” Taylor wrote on his Instagram. “Come brave the cold water at Manhattan Beach pier with me and some of my Dodgers teammates to help support The Friendship Foundation!”

Taylor was moved to establish the CT3 Foundation due to being personally affected by osteosarcoma when Kyle Profilet, a childhood friend, lost a two-and-a-half year battle to bone cancer in 2019.

Chris Taylor appreciates Dodgers teammates support for CT3 Foundation

Early 2023, Taylor and his foundation hosted a “Driving For Hope” charity event at Topgolf in El Segundo.

George Lopez served as the emcee, accompanied by DJ Severe providing music throughout the night, and Jaime Jarrín, Fernando Valenzuela, Gavin Lux, Freddie Freeman and Tony Gonsolin along with members of the Los Angeles Dodgers front office on hand to participate. Brett Young treated attendees to a private concert to conclude the night.

“It means a lot to me. I think it speaks to our community and the type of teammates I have, the people they are,” Taylor said. “To take time out of their offseason to come out and support, not just for me but for CHLA, it’s big for all of us. I think we’re really going to make a difference.”
