Betts qualified for a Sports Emmy Award through his podcast with Bleacher Report and correspondent work for Fox Sports during the 2023 MLB postseason.

“This year’s sports broadcasting nominees produced thrilling and captivating television,” said National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) president and CEO Adam Sharp. “We look forward to welcoming these exceptional professionals to the 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards in May.”

Betts’ competition for the Sports Emmy Award are Noah Eagle, Taylor Rooks and Jay Wright.

Winners will be announced during the 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.

“The Sports Emmy Awards are proud to recognize the outstanding work of this year’s nominees and to honor James Brown for his long and prolific career,” said NATAS head of sports Stephen Head.
