Dodgers Rumors: 2025 MLB Draft Picks Conner O’Neal & Jacob Frost Signed

The Los Angeles Dodgers selected 21 players in the 2025 MLB Draft, which was held during All-Star Week festivities in Atlanta.

After making four picks on Day 1, the Dodgers added 17 more players to conclude this year’s draft. The group included Conner O’Neal and Jacob Frost, who were taken in rounds nine and 10, respectively.

According to Carlos Collazo of Baseball America, the Dodgers signed O’Neal and Frost to amounts well below their respective slot values:

The Dodgers have signed 9th and 10th rounders Conner O'Neal ($2,500) and Jacob Frost ($47,500).

The 285th and 315th overall picks came with respective slot values of $196,000 and $187,300. By signing O’Neal and Frost for a combined $50,000, the Dodgers have plenty of savings to use on other selections.

O’Neal is a catcher who hit .283/.446/.554 with 20 homers and 80 RBI in 91 games over two seasons at Southeastern Louisiana University. He received All-Louisiana (second team) and Southland All-Conference (second team) honors this year.

Frost was 4-6 with a 6.59 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 112 innings pitched across two seasons with Kansas State University. This year, the right-hander led the Wildcats in strikeouts (75), WHIP (1.54) and opponent batting average (.238).

Frost played a key role in Wabash Valley College making consecutive NJCAA World Series tournament appearances before spending his final two seasons with KSU.

Dodgers 2025 MLB Draft signing deadline

The Dodgers have until 2 p.m. PT on Monday, July 28, to sign their 2025 MLB Draft picks. O’Neal and Frost are the first two Dodgers selections to reportedly sign contracts.

L.A. ranks 24th among all teams with a bonus pool of $9,031,300 for their 2025 MLB Draft picks.

Bonus pools are calculated by adding the slot values of every pick through the first 10 rounds. Any signing bonus amount more than $125,000 for draft picks after the 10th round also count against pool money.
