The Los Angeles Dodgers navigated their way through an eventful Spring Training schedule, seeing the debut of several offseason acquisitions, including two-way star Shohei Ohtani.

Ohtani signed with the the Dodgers on a 10-year, $700 million contract that shifted even more attention in Major League Baseball toward the historic franchise. Ohtani’s status as a unique talent and incredibly likable person has captivated new teammates and fanbase alike.

Recently, artist Jack Dreyer, created a portrait of Ohtani, entirely out of Rubik’s Cubes. Dreyer also happens to be a Minor League pitcher in the Dodgers organization, and his work was shared by Jon Heyman of the New York Post:

This painting of Shohei Ohtani was made entirely of Rubik’s cubes by cube artist Jack Dreyer, a minor league pitcher in the Dodgers organization and son of ex MLB pitcher Steve Dreyer. Jack Dreyer can solve the cube in 14 seconds too. pic.twitter.com/Bgk65sTik2

Ohtani has already left a mark through his first six MLB seasons, which has included becoming the first player to ever win two unanimous American League MVP Awards.

The Dodgers won’t yet get to see the full benefit of having Ohtani on their roster as he is unable to pitch in 2024 due to recovering from a second right elbow surgery.

Shohei Ohtani arrives in South Korea

The Dodgers’ popularity in Asia has grown exponentially since Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto signed during the offseason.

Being a global superstar and the most talented player in baseball, Ohtani and the Dodgers traveling to South Korea to play in the Seoul Series was very impactful. When the Dodgers arrived at Incheon International Airport, fans cheered as Ohtani, his wife Mamiko Tanaka, and teammates walked through the airport.
