Dodgers & Kosé Corporation Extend Multi-Year Partnership

The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their multi-year agreement with Kosé Corporation, the Tokyo-based personal care company.

New elements of the deal that will be on display at Dodger Stadium as a result of the agreement include scoreboard flash features for Shohei Ohtani home runs and for walk-off wins, opportunities for fans to purchase Kosé products, and a sponsored trading card giveaway.

Kosé messaging has already been prominently featured on DodgerVision throughout the season, accompanied by strategic product placement within Dodger Stadium.

They have also been connected to one of the Dodgers’ celebrations this season inspired by Decorté, one of Kosé’s products. It’s based off a commercial where Ohtani slides a fragrance bottle across his face, and the motion has been copied and turned into the celebration by him and his teammates.

“The partnership between Kosé and the Dodgers has been exceedingly complementary, and it was a no-brainer for both of us to take it even farther into the future,” Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement.

“We have truly enjoyed this relationship, which has also benefited by the organic player celebrations inspired by Shohei’s commercial for their skin care product, Decorté.”

The Dodgers first announced their sponsorship deal with Kosé one year ago. It was one of many agreements the Dodgers signed with Japanese companies after the additions of Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

At the time, the agreement called for Kosé messaging to be prominently featured on the Dodger Stadium video boards and products placed throughout Dodger Stadium.

What is Kosé Corporation?

Founded in 1946, Kosé focuses on the manufacturing and marketing of specialty and everyday cosmetics to a wide range of customers.

The company specializes in unique and high-value exclusive products, particularly among high-prestige and prestige brands, as well as inexpensive and affordable cosmetaries (a word combining “cosmetics” and “toiletries”).
