Justin Wrobleski ‘Disappointed’ Over All-Star Snub

The Los Angeles Dodgers tied the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves with five initial selections to the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, but their group of players heading to Citizens Bank Park currently does not include Justin Wrobleski.

On Tuesday, MLB added Braxton Ashcraft, Jesús Luzardo and Riley O’Brien onto the National League roster. They replaced Jacob Misiorowski, Max Meyer and Paul Skenes, respectively.

“Obviously it’s disappointing,” Wrobleski said of being an All-Star Game snub. “You want to be an All-Star. It’s something that, regardless of the year, whenever, it’s always a big deal. It’s something I wanted to do, and yeah it’s frustrating to not get that nod.

“But like I said before, I think it’s just more reason to try and keep getting better and hopefully I can gain the respect of players and everybody else, and maybe be in there next year.”

Wrobleski remains hopeful he will be added onto the NL team as a replacement for an injured player or pitcher who is ineligible to take the mound in the exhibition.

“I mean, yeah, I would like to,” Wrobleski admitted. “I would like to know where my All-Star break is going to be. If it happens, great. If it doesn’t, it’s some time off to chill for a couple days. Either way I’m all good.”

The left-hander is in the midst of a breakout season for the Dodgers, posting a 10-2 record with a 2.69 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 100.1 innings through 16 appearances (15 starts) thus far.

Justin Wrobleski appreciates Dave Roberts’ support

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been vocal about his desire for Wrobleski to be included on the NL All-Star roster, which is something that the 25-year-old greatly appreciates.

“That means a lot, obviously,” Wrobleski said. “To hear from him, he’s given me this opportunity to be a starter in the Major Leagues when maybe some other teams would’ve given up on me. So it means a lot to hear from him. Hopefully I can keep eating innings for him and get deep into games.”

Roberts has also expressed hope that Tanner Scott and Mookie Betts would be added onto the NL roster.

The five Dodgers players currently heading to Philadelphia for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game are Shohei Ohtani (designated hitter), Freddie Freeman (first base), Max Muncy (third base) and Andy Pages (outfield), all of whom will start for the NL. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is part of the pitching staff.
