Despite struggling with the Los Angeles Dodgers, James Outman performed well for Triple-A Oklahoma City and was named to the 2024 Pacific Coast League All-Star team.

The 27-year-old hit .279/.390/.543 with 15 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 46 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 319 plate appearances over 69 games with the Oklahoma City Baseball Club.

Outman started the season as the Dodgers’ everyday center fielder, but lost his role after failing to find any success. He just batted .147 with four homers and 11 RBI in 53 games at the big league level.

Outman was recalled to the Dodgers prior to their final game of the regular season due to Kevin Kiermaier’s finger injury. Outman came off the bench and went 0-for-1 with a walk in the team’s 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies.

It was Outman’s first Major League game since Aug. 6 and likely his last of the 2024 season. He is not expected to be included on the Dodgers’ postseason roster.

Outman is only one year removed from a solid campaign that saw him place third in National League Rookie of the Year voting. He hit .248/.353/.437 with 16 doubles, three triples, 23 home runs, 70 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 151 games.
