Several Los Angeles Dodgers are on the verge of returning from the injured list, and among them is Edwin Ríos, who recently began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Out since June 3 due to a right hamstring strain that manager Dave Roberts described as a “Grade 3 or Grade 4 tear,” Ríos has appeared in five games with the Dodgers’ top affiliate. He’s 4-for-16 with three doubles during the rehab assignment and has a double in three straight games.

According to Jack Harris of the L.A. Times, Ríos’ rehab assignment with the Oklahoma City Dodgers could be as long as two weeks:

Edwin Ríos will likely spend at least two weeks on rehab assignment.

Another key Dodgers player inching closer to returning is Brusdar Graterol, who has been out since July 14 due to right shoulder inflammation. Roberts downplayed concern about the discomfort the right-hander felt in his throwing shoulder when the team placed him on the IL and hoped he would return relatively quickly.

Graterol threw a bullpen session at Oracle Park on Wednesday and will soon begin a rehab assignment, per per Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group:

Meanwhile, Brusdar Graterol threw another bullpen session and touched 100 mph, according to Roberts. Graterol is “very close” to going on a rehab assignment.

Blake Treinen also continued to make progress in his recovery as he threw in a second simulated game:

Roberts said Treinen touched 97 mph with his fastball and “his stuff was good.” Depending on how Treinen recovers from the workout, Roberts said he could repeat the sim-game session a third time or begin a rehab assignment soon.

Treinen recently said his shoulder injury has healed and now is focused on building stamina and strength.

Dodgers bullpen reinforcements

With Graterol currently on the mend, the Dodgers made a couple of moves to bolster their bullpen, most notably acquiring Chris Martin from the Chicago Cubs.

They additionally signed Hansel Robles to a Minor League contract, but he may not end up getting much of a look to potentially earn a call-up.
