The Los Angeles Dodgers have been forced to deal with some key injuries so far this season, which could be part of the reason that they have gotten off to a slow start and sit in fourth place in the National League West standings.
The likes of Logan Forsythe, Rich Hill, Clayton Kershaw, Yasiel Puig, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Corey Seager and Justin Turner have all either spent time on the disabled list or are currently there, putting the Dodgers’ depth to the test early on in the season.
Los Angeles received a boost with the return of Puig on Wednesday night as he went 3-for-4 in the team’s victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. It appears more help may be on the way, with both Turner and Forsythe heading out for rehab assignments this weekend, via Ken Gurnick of MLB.com:

Turner has yet to make his 2018 debut after being hit with a pitch and fracturing his wrist during Spring Training. He recently began swinging a bat, and took part in simulated games on both Wednesday and Thursday, facing Dodgers Minor League pitchers.
Forsythe has missed around a month after being placed on the 10-day disabled list with a shoulder injury. He dealt with inflammation in his shoulder for most of the spring and moving from second to third base to replace Turner contributed to the injury.
The Dodgers have missed both of their starting infielders as their production at third base while they have been out has been minimal. It is unknown how many rehab games either will need before being activated but barring any setbacks, both should rejoin the team on the road trip.
