The Los Angeles Dodgers offense was quiet for the first four innings but they ended up with a come-from-behind win against the San Diego Padres thanks in large part to the power of Mookie Betts and Max Muncy.
The Padres took a 1-0 lead in the second inning against Julio Urías when Jurickson Profar scored when the Dodgers were unable to turn a double play on Wil Myers, who ended up grounding into a force out.
The score remained 1-0 through four innings as Nick Martinez shut the L.A. offense down for most of his night. But the Dodgers lineup started to come to life in the fifth inning when Betts tied the game with a solo home run.
Later in the inning, Muncy gave the Dodgers the lead with a solo homer of his own to put L.A. up 2-1.

Muncy added some insurance runs for the Dodgers in the seventh on a single with the bases loaded to drive in two, increasing the lead to 4-1. He finished his day 2-for-3 with three RBI, two walks and a run scored.
The Dodgers added another on a sacrifice fly from Justin Turner to drive in Trea Turner, but Muncy was thrown out trying to take second.
In the ninth inning, Betts hit his second home run of the game and for the season. He finished the game 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI and two walks, which was a much-needed game for the superstar as he was struggling to find his swing to begin the season.
Dodgers pitching once again sharp
Urías started the game and pitched five innings while allowing just one run on two hits. His velocity also looked better as he was touching 94 mph on his fastball and he added six strikeouts to his line.
From there, the bullpen shut the Padres’ offense down with scoreless innings from Daniel Hudson, Evan Phillips and David Price, while Phil Bickford and Alex Vesia combined to pitch a scoreless inning.
