The Los Angeles Dodgers have been rolling over the past week, and they extended their winning streak to six games with an 11-9 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Monday night in the series opener at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers’ offense has really found its form as of late, and that continued on Monday as they slugged three home runs and 13 hits.

Mookie Betts got things started with a home run to lead off the bottom of the first, his ninth of the season. Betts also had an RBI single in the second inning and since being moved into the leadoff spot permanently, he is 10-for-23 with five home runs, 11 RBI and nine runs scored.

The guy hitting behind his isn’t so bad either as Corey Seager also had a big night, going 2-for-4 with a walk, including a three-run home run in that second inning.

Despite the early runs after a five-run second inning, the Dodgers actually found themselves trailing 8-6 going into the seventh inning. They were able to rally for five more runs once again though as Seager got it started with a single, followed by another single by Justin Turner, who now sports an 11-game hit streak.

After Cody Bellinger walked, AJ Pollock drove in the first run with a single, and then Max Muncy drove in a run on a walk.

The big swing of the inning came off the bat of Kiké Hernandez, who crushed a hanging breaking ball for a two-run home run to put the game out of reach. The home run was Hernandez’s second of the season and first since Opening Day.

Kyle Seager also has big night in first game against brother

Monday night was an extra special game for the Seager family and Corey and Kyle, his older brother who plays third base for the Mariners, played against each other for the first time in their career.

Corey wasn’t the only one in the family to have a big night offensively as Kyle reached base four times, including a home run of his own to keep his team in the game. They became the first pair of brothers on opposing teams to homer in the same game since Cesar and Felipe Crespo on June 7, 2001.

Before the game, Corey said he hoped Kyle had four hits but the Dodgers won, and while the latter fell one hit short of that, L.A. did come out on top.
