The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to six games by defeating the San Francisco Giants on Saturday afternoon, getting a couple of runs and then hanging on for a 2-0 victory at AT&T Park.

The win was the Dodgers’ 105th of the season, which set the Los Angeles franchise record and tied the organization’s all-time mark. The Dodgers will have one final chance to break it in the regular-season finale on Sunday afternoon as they go for the sweep at Oracle Park.

Hyun-Jin Ryu put the cherry on top of a Cy Young-caliber season with another dominant performance. He tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just five hits while striking out seven without issuing any walks to earn his 14th win of the season.

Ryu also lowered his Major-League-leading ERA to 2.32 in the process. In addition to getting it done on the mound, Ryu also contributed with his bat in Saturday’s victory.

He did not hit another home run like he did last week at Dodger Stadium, but did pull an RBI single into left field to break a scoreless tie in the fifth inning. The two-out hit scored Gavin Lux, who doubled earlier in the inning.

The only other run for the Dodgers came on a homer by Max Muncy in the sixth inning. This one didn’t go into McCovey Cove like his blast off Madison Bumgarner earlier in the season, but it was still Muncy’s 35th home run of the year, matching his total from a breakout 2018 campaign.

Additionally, Muncy, Cody Bellinger (47) and Joc Pederson (36) became the first trio of Dodgers teammates to all hit at least 35 home runs in the same season.

After a rough season for the most part, the Dodgers bullpen finally seems to be coming together with the postseason just around the corner. Kenta Maeda pitched a scoreless eighth in relief and then Kenley Jansen closed down the door to earn his 33rd save of the season.
