A Los Angeles Dodgers spokesperson told DodgerBlue.com the team’s annual FanFest event, which was rebranded in 2024 to DodgerFest, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1.
However, what has not yet been announced is the location for DodgerFest 2025. It’s not expected to be held at Dodger Stadium because of ongoing construction with the latest renovation project.
A similar scenario unfolded in 2020, when Dodgers FanFest was moved from the field to Dodger Stadium parking lots P and N (outside of top deck and right field reserve) because of construction to the pavilions and creation of the new center field plaza.
Current construction has already prevented the Dodgers from navigating a normal offseason in which players would use Dodger Stadium for their workouts leading up to Spring Training.
“It’s been a huge advantage for us in years past, having our Minor League players here and big league players train here, our chefs making breakfast and lunch, obviously the weather being perfect,” president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman recently told DodgerBlue.com.
“It’s been a challenge this winter. Making the most of it. We feel like it will be worth it in the end, but certainly a challenging offseason.”
Where is DodgerFest 2025?
DodgerFest serves as the de facto beginning of a new season.
Friedman, manager Dave Roberts and players make themselves available for interviews, and take the main stage while also joining the SportsNet LA set.
Team merchandise historically has been sold at the stadium, and autograph opportunities are made available for purchase. The Dodgers also generally offer meet and greet opportunities and stadium tours as well.
In addition, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) have organized their Yard Sale with one-of-a-kind Dodger items, including jerseys, t-shirts, and more. LADF also sells Mystery Bags containing autographed baseballs, jerseys and photos.
Proceeds benefit the Dodgers’ foundation, which has a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos.
The Dodgers are expected to announce an offsite location that will host DodgerFest 2025, which is expected to result in the event being smaller than normal.
More information, along with how to obtain tickets and potential autograph sessions, will be announced in the coming weeks. Last year marked the first time in DodgerFest/Dodgers FanFest history that fans needed to purchase tickets to what previously had been a free event to attend.
