Dodgers Exhibition Game Preview: How To Watch, Lineups & Team Korea Info

The Los Angeles Dodgers went 13-5-1 in Cactus League play and continued their winning ways in exhibition games by defeating the Kiwoom Heroes on Saturday (Sunday afternoon in Seoul). Next for the Dodgers is a final tuneup against Team Korea before they begin the Seoul Series on March 20.

The Korean National Team is coming off a 1-0 loss to the San Diego Padres, who the Dodgers will face at Gocheok Sky Dome later this week for MLB’s first games ever played in South Korea.

Monday’s game between the Dodgers and Team Korea is sold out. Meanwhile, prices for Seoul Series tickets have skyrocketed on the secondary market in South Korea.

The Korean National Team is also known as the Blue Wave and has participated in every World Baseball Classic, including a finals appearance in 2009. Team Korea has also played in several Summer Olympic Games and won the gold medal over Cuba in 2008.

Bobby Miller takes the mound for what may be his final appearance of Spring Training. It’s possible that Miller pitches in the exhibition Freeway Series that’s being played March 24-26. He theoretically could start the first game at Dodger Stadium on an extra day of rest, but the Dodgers may factor in jet lag when making such a decision.

Gavin Stone is due to follow Miller, and although he’s appearing out of the bullpen, the right-hander is the favorite to be the fifth starter in the Dodgers’ Opening Day rotation.

“Bobby Miller is going to start and go five innings. And then Gavin Stone is going to pitch as well, and he’s going to go either three or four innings,” manager Dave Roberts said of the pitching plan against Team Korea.

“There might be an opportunity for J.P. Feyereisen to pitch, and we’ll see from there.”
