Heading into the 2024 Major League Baseball All-Star Week, the Los Angeles Dodgers are well-represented with six selections, and they have another non-player addition potentially coming.
Dodgers ball boy Sean Harris is among those up for vote to work the All-Star Game at Globe Life Field. He’s competing against four others who are vying to be part of the crew for the American League or National League.
The top two vote getters will be announced on Wednesday and named to the ball crew for the All-Star Game on July 16. Voting is open until 8:59 p.m. PT on Tuesday night across multiple social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Reddit.
Voting can also be placed through MLB’s official website.
Harris has been a Dodgers ball boy since 2018, and most recently drew some attention when he made a stunning catch on a 101.2 mph foul ball line drive in early June.
Harris, born in Southern California, grew up as a Dodgers fan, with his dream being to put on the team’s uniform.
MLB starting up the initiative for ball boys and ball girls to earn recognition for their highlight plays adds a bit of flair to the All-Star Game supporting staff.

An overwhelming amount of support from fans was met with on-field production, resulting in six selections for the Dodgers in the MLB All-Star Game.
Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernández, Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith were named to the National League team. Players gathered in the home clubhouse this week, where the team’s selections were revealed following their Sunday game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
This is the third time since the 2017 season the Dodgers have six All-Star selections.
