Dodgers Attendance Reaches New 2025 High For Yankees Series Finale

Dodger Stadium drew capacity crowds throughout the weekend for a World Series rematch against the New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers attendance reached a new single-game high for 2025 with an announced crowd of 54,031 on Sunday.

Dodger Stadium attendance for the series opener was 53,276, and there was a slight drop on Saturday to 51,746. Overall, the total Dodgers attendance for the Yankees series was 159,053.

Dodgers fans were treated to thrilling back-to-back victories as the team came from behind in the series opener and slugged their way to a blowout the following night. The Dodgers’ 18 runs scored on Saturday were their most against the Yankees in any game during the regular season and playoffs.

“It’s certainly sweet to win any game,” answered manager Dave Roberts when asked if there was added satisfaction with the blowout win coming on national TV. “I’ll take the political answer. It always feels good to beat the Yankees. They’re the class of the American League right now, and anytime you can beat those guys you feel good.”

Two of the games were sellouts — Friday and Sunday — of which the Dodgers now have nine so far this season. Prior to the first game against the Yankees, the Dodgers’ high mark in attendance this season was 53,933 when they hosted the Chicago Cubs on April 11.

That coincided with Freddie Freeman bobblehead night at Dodger Stadium, as the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance received the giveaway that was inspired by his pose from hitting a walk-off grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series.

Last July, the Dodgers set the record for largest crowd to attend any MLB game in 2024 when they had an announced attendance of 54,070 for a matchup against the San Francisco Giants on Kiké Hernández bobblehead night.

Dodgers attendance leads MLB

The Dodgers once again lead all teams in total attendance with 1,515,281 in their home games thus far in 2025. The Dodger Stadium average of 50,509 also is tops in baseball.

Philadelphia Phillies are second in total attendance this season (1,277,481) and Yankees rank second in average (42,372).

The Dodgers exceed 3 million in Dodger Stadium attendance last year for the 12th time in the past 14 seasons. The only exceptions during that stretch were the pandemic-impacted 2020 season when fans were not permitted and in 2021 because of limited attendance being allowed for a portion of the schedule.
