Dodgers Have 6 Of Top-40 Players On MLB The Show 22 Diamond Dynasty

The Los Angeles Dodgers are ranked as the No. 1 team on MLB The Show 22 with the default rosters, but they also rate out as one of the best on Diamond Dynasty, which uses a different set of ratings.

MLB The Show’s Diamond Dynasty is a card-collecting mode that players can use to build a team of assorted player cards from different teams.

Both current and former players appear in the form of flashback versions or legendary cards. In Diamond Dynasty, users are given more incentive to finish sets which will be rewarded with stubs, in-game currency, or a designated collection reward player card.

The Dodgers have the most diamond rated players of any team with six. Headlined by Trea Turner (90), Freddie Freeman (88), Mookie Betts (88), Walker Buehler (86), Max Muncy (86), and Clayton Kershaw (85), they are among the top-40 players in MLB, according to MLB The Show.

No other team has more than three players rated ’85 or above,’ which is the threshold for a diamond rating. Turner also comes in as the seventh best live series player in the game.

Along with their six diamonds, the Dodgers also have Will Smith (84), Craig Kimbrel (83), Julio Urias (82), Justin Turner (80), Blake Treinen (80) and Cody Bellinger (80) all ranked in the gold tier, which is for players rated 80-84 overall. This gives the Dodgers the second most gold cards among teams.

Some other notable players rated from the silver (75-79) to bronze (65-74) tiers are Chris Taylor (77), Tony Gonsolin (75), Daniel Hudson (75), Gavin Lux (72), Andrew Heaney (71) and Brusdar Graterol (66).

The reward for collecting every Dodgers player is a new addition to MLB The Show 22 in the form of a 94 overall Dodgers legend Kirk Gibson.

The Dodgers collection can be completed for around 165,000 stubs. The next step is completing the National League West division which leads to a 96 overall flashback of Kenley Jansen, the highest rated relief pitcher card currently in the game.

Gibson’s legend card is regarded as one of the better team collection rewards and users will be happy to see his iconic fist pump celebration from the 1988 World Series as he rounds second base.

In addition, the Dodgers also have a 90 overall Face of the Franchise Cody Bellinger, an 83 overall prospect Andy Pages, and a pair of 83 overall All-Stars in 1982 Fernando Valenzuela and 2017 Alex Wood. All these cards need to be earned by playing the game and do not count toward the collection for Gibson.
