Fresh off completing a sweep of the San Diego Padres and with a four-game winning streak intact, the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Dodger Stadium for a weekend series with the Washington Nationals.
Friday’s matchup is a historic one, as it pits Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer against one another. It’s just the 13th time in MLB history three-time Cy Young Award winners have dueled, and 10th such game in the regular season.
The Nationals cooled after opening the season with four consecutive wins, and also enter the weekend set a game under .500. Though, they have won three of their last five, and feature one of baseball’s most featured hitters in Bryce Harper.
Of course, a marquee series such as this one deserves food that is equally as tantalizing. Dodger Stadium executive chef Ryan Evans and his team delivered on that front.
One of the speciality items available is the DC Half Smoked Sausage. A pork and beef smoked sausage is topped with chili con carne, diced onions and mustard.
A chorizo torta, one of three torta options Evans introduced this season, will also be available. A chorizo sausage is split in half, with the telera bread topped with ranchero bean spread, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, queso fresco and smoke jalapeño aioli.
Lastly, turkey pastrami French fries topped with brown gravy will be on the menu throughout the weekend.
Each of the new food options can be purchased at On-Deck Circle stands on field level (aisle 48), loge level (133) and reserve (4).
