Dodger Stadium-Themed Adidas Ultraboost Release Date Details

With the Los Angeles Dodgers in the midst of another postseason run, Adidas is celebrating the rich history of Dodger Stadium through a special release of the brand’s famed Ultraboost sneaker.

The Adidas UltraBOOST 5.0 DNA “Los Angeles” releases Saturday, October 15, at select retailers and adidas.com in limited quantities. The shoe consists of the same aesthetic found with the different colored seats at the Dodger Stadium.

Former Dodgers owner Walter O’Malley famously designed them so each level represented a specific component of Southern California.

The top deck seats at Dodger Stadium are a light blue in an ode to the ocean, whereas reserve level is more of an aqua or seam foam green for the landscape that surrounds Chavez Ravine.

Loge level seats are a light orange to represent the sand at beaches, and field level are yellow because of the sunny weather seen in Los Angeles year round.

Along with the shoe release, Adidas also is going to sell four limited edition posters designed by a local artist under the same color scheme and that celebrate Los Angeles landmarks.

This past season represented the 60th anniversary of Dodger Stadium, which opened April 10, 1962.

Adidas, Justin Turner partner at Philippe’s

The Los Angeles Ultraboost is not the first connection between the Dodgers and Adidas, as Justin Turner and Trea Turner are both sponsored by the brand.

In 2019, Justin Turner and Kiké Hernandez were part of Adidas commissioning Jonas Never to paint a mural at Philippe’s to celebrate the anniversary of Dodgers’ move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles.

“It was a great day for Adidas and Philippe’s to honor the move of our historical franchise from Brooklyn to L.A. and to host it at a historic landmark in the heart of L.A. made it even more special,” Turner told DodgerBlue.com at the time.
