Dalton Rushing Among 5 Dodgers Prospects On Keith Law’s Top 100 List For 2025

The Los Angeles Dodgers were represented by five prospects on Keith Law’s top 100 rankings for the 2025 season, with Dalton Rushing leading the way at No. 16.

Josue De Paula (26), River Ryan (52), Zyhir Hope (58) and Alex Freeland (68) also made the list.

Rushing hit a combined .270/.383/.501 with 21 doubles, 24 home runs and 82 RBI in 112 games between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City en route to being named the Dodgers’ 2024 Branch Rickey Player of the Year.

De Paula is coming off a solid season as well as he batted a combined .268/.404/.405 with 17 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 62 RBI and 27 stolen bases in 107 games between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes.

Ryan posted a combined 2.22 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 11.8 strikeouts per nine in 24.1 innings between the Dodgers’ Rookie-level affiliate, Quakes and Oklahoma City Baseball Club before earning a promotion to the Majors.

Ryan thrived with the Dodgers as he went 1-0 with a 1.33 ERA, 3.36 FIP and 1.18 WHIP in 20.1 innings across four starts. He sustained a UCL strain in his final start against the Pittsburgh Pirates and underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery that will likely keep him out for the entire 2025 season.

Hope hit a combined .290/.419/.484 with 16 doubles, nine home runs and 36 RBI in 61 games between the Dodgers’ Rookie-level affiliate and Quakes.

Freeland batted a combined .260/.387/.442 with 32 doubles, three triples, 18 home runs, 74 RBI and 31 stolen bases in 136 games between the Loons, Drillers and Oklahoma City Baseball Club.

Why wasn’t Roki Sasaki included on Keith Law’s top 100 prospects list?

Roki Sasaki was excluded from Law’s top 100 prospects list for 2025 due to his previous experience in Nippon Professional Baseball.

However, the 23-year-old was ranked the No. 1 overall prospect for the upcoming season by Baseball America.

There has been debate among prospect circles as to whether Sasaki should count as a prospect on these lists, but either way, the Dodgers have a highly-regarded pitcher.
