When the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted a tour of the final look at the completed Dodger Stadium renovation, team president and CEO Stan Kasten revealed a Shake Shack location was among the new amenities in the center field plaza area.
“We couldn’t be more excited about that addition to Dodger Stadium,” Kasten said at the time.
However, the famed burger chain was not due to be open before the Dodgers’ home opener and a date was not set. That has now changed, as the start of a nine-game homestand on Tuesday is coinciding with the opening of Shake Shack at Dodger Stadium.
It’s located in the beer garden behind the right field pavilion, and joins Bao & Bowls and other concession stands in the renovated plaza areas that will now be open. Included in that is California Pizza Kitchen unveiling their flagship location behind the left field pavilion. Other CPK stands throughout the stadium had already been open.
The “Eats” and “Drinks” grab-and-go locations will also be open in the beer garden behind left field. Overall, the selection of craft beers being offered at Dodger Stadium has been enhanced with 22 different Southern California options now available.
They can be purchased at stands near sections 65 and 66 on the loge level and the opening of the Marketplace stand (soon to be re-named SoCal Crafted) near field section 5, which features 12 packaged craft beers from local California breweries.
Dodger Stadium gates
Also starting with the current homestand, fans will be able to gain entry and exit Dodger Stadium via gate C (Academy Road Gate). However, auto gate B (Scott Avenue Gate) remains closed for games due to operations of the Dodger Stadium vaccination site.
That may change in the weeks ahead as the vaccination site is due to shutter as the city adjusts its approach and focus with administering doses.
