Complete Rosters For NL & AL In 2024 MLB All-Star Game

Full rosters for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game in Arlington had been announced on July 7, with the pitchers and reserves being announced to the American League and National League teams.

However, there are always vacant spots that need to be filled thanks to injuries and other reasons for players to be unavailable for the Midsummer Classic.

This year was no different with eight players serving as replacements, four on each side. With these minor changes, both team’s final rosters are set and are ready to face off.

For the AL, their pitching staff remains unchanged as all of their replacements are position players. Willi Castro, Jordan Westburg, Anthony Santander, and Corey Seager were all selected to fill open roster spots. For Castro, Westburg, and Santander, it is their first career All-Star Game selection.

It is Seager’s fifth all-time selection, third consecutive with the Texas Rangers, and it gives the hosts their third representative at this year’s Midsummer Classic.

For the NL, their situation is the exact opposite as all of their replacements come via openings in their pitching staff. Hunter Greene, Max Fried, and Cristopher Sánchez are filling in for a trio of unavailable starting pitchers and Kyle Finnegan is filling in for an unavailable Ryan Helsley.

The Philadelphia Phillies were already the most represented team at this year’s event in Arlington, and the selection of Sánchez adds another to the tally. It also increases their franchise-record for All-Star selections in a season to eight.

The Los Angeles Dodgers remain right behind them with their six total selections.

These replacements are the final additions to both rosters ahead of Tuesday’s game and were all selected by MLB after most players were determined via player ballots and other factors.
