While the Los Angeles Dodgers are in the thick of a race to win an unprecedented sixth consecutive National League West title, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation is set to reach a milestone of their own by unveiling the 50th Dreamfield on Saturday.

Steve Garvey, Clayton Kershaw, Manny Mota, Yasiel Puig, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and president and CEO Stan Kasten are among those expected to be on hand for the historic ceremony. Puig joined the Foundation in August for the groundbreaking ceremony.

The 50th Dodgers Dreamfield completes the LADF’s 15-year commitment in which more than $10 million has been invested into construction of the fields that have impacted the lives of over 300,000 youth in and around the greater Los Angeles area.

Their latest project was partially funded by donations from the City of Los Angeles, Puig’s Wild Horse Foundation, the Tyler Development Corporation, Clayton and Ellen Kershaw, the LA84 Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, and the Leon Lowenstein Foundation.

The 50th Dreamfield is constructed on the same property as the first that was refurbished in 2003. Additionally, the Algin Sutton Recreation Center is where the Dodgers RBI program launched.

Following a speeches and the ceremonial lighting of a scoreboard, a community festival is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. It will include a Farmer John Dodger Dog truck, autographs with Dodgers alumni, giveaways and DJ Severe providing music entertainment.

Location: Algin Sutton Recreation Center, 8800 South Hoover Street, Los Angeles, Calif., 90044
