Clayton Kershaw is expected to address the fans at Dodger Stadium on Sunday before the Los Angeles Dodgers play their final home game of the regular season.
Kershaw previously announced that he is retiring at the end of the 2025 season after a legendary 18-year career.
The future Hall of Famer made his final regular-season start at Dodger Stadium on Friday and allowed two runs in 4.1 innings pitched. He struck out Rafael Devers looking to end his outing and walked off the mound to a prolonged standing ovation.
Kershaw was further celebrated after the game when Dodgers manager Dave Roberts led a champagne toast that also recognized the team officially clinching a postseason berth.

The celebration continued on Saturday when the first 40,000 ticketed fans at Dodger Stadium received a Kershaw bobblehead to commemorate reaching 3,000 career strikeouts.
Kershaw became the 20th pitcher in MLB history when he recorded his 3,000th career strikeout on July 2 against the Chicago White Sox. He is just the fourth left-hander to achieve the feat and the first Dodgers pitcher.
The moment was celebrated on the field, with fans treating Kershaw to a standing ovation that lasted nearly six minutes. The team also played a tribute video and Kershaw emerged from the dugout for a final curtain call before play resumed.
Clayton Kershaw ‘thankful’ for Dodgers fans
Kershaw has preferred to shy away from attention and praise throughout his storied career, but one constant under that is his appreciation for Dodgers fans.
“I think just having them behind me the way they have been, it’s just been nice and so amazing. Dodger Stadium is a super special place, and the fans are the main reason why,” Kershaw said. “They continue to come out, support us, be here, every night it’s 50,000 people.
“I wish I had better words other than I’m just so honored and thankful to hear those ovations. I’ll never take that for granted.”
