Prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers reporting to Camelback Ranch for the start of Spring Training, Chris and Mary Taylor are hosting the “CT3 Foundation 2024 Charity Polar Plunge” at the north tower of Manhattan Beach Pier on Sunday, February 4.
Mario López is going to emcee the event, which is expected to include multiple Dodgers players, celebrities and other special guests in attendance to dive into the cold waters of Manhattan Beach.
While fans can purchase tickets for the event, along with choosing a VIP option, donations for the event are also accepted.
Meanwhile, Chris Taylor has also issued a friendly challenge for his Dodgers teammates by allowing for fans to donate to a specific player to see him plunge into the ocean.
Taylor is currently in the lead with the most money raised, and behind him are Will Smith, Gavin Lux, Freddie Freeman and Tony Gonsolin to round out the top five. Mookie Betts, Jason Heyward, James Outman, Alex Vesia and Tyler Glasnow have also received financial support from fans.
The initiative is similar to when Dodgers teammates participated in the ice bucket challenge to help raise awareness for ALS.
