Bally Sports West Re-Airing Roundtable Featuring Vin Scully, Chick Hearn & Bob Miller

Legendary Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully has been celebrated throughout the sports world since passing away last Tuesday at the age of 94.

Manager Dave Roberts, Clayton Kershaw and Justin Turner were among those to speak highly of their relationships with the Hall of Fame broadcaster, and Jaime Jarrín, Alanna Rizzo and several others posted heartfelt messages on social media.

The Dodgers held a ceremony for Scully before their matchup against the San Diego Padres on Friday, and Walter O’Malley’s grandson, Peter Seidler, honored him during Sunday Night Baseball.

Bally Sports West will add to the tributes when they re-air a roundtable featuring Scully, Chick Hearn and Bob Miller on Tuesday night.

The special presentation originally aired in 2000 and will follow the Los Angeles Angels’ postgame show.

Scully, Hearn and Miller are considered among the best broadcasters in their respective sports, and for their careers to intertwine in the same city is something that will likely never be duplicated.

Scully began his broadcasting career with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 18, 1950. His 67 years in the booth represent the longest-tenured broadcaster with one team in professional sports history.

Hearn was the play-by-play announcer of the Los Angeles Lakers for 41 years until his untimely death in 2002. Miller served in the same role for the Los Angeles Kings from 1973 until his retirement in 2017.

The Dodgers are wearing a Scully jersey patch for the remainder of the 2022 season and are in the process of planning additional honors at Dodger Stadium.
