The Los Angeles Dodgers had seven players advance to Phase 2 of in voting for 2025 MLB All-Star Game starters, plus Shohei Ohtani earned a spot in the National League lineup as the designated hitter.

Ohtani earned a guaranteed start in the 95th Midsummer Classic by virtue of being the top vote-getter in the NL. New York Yankees star Aaron Judge led all American League players to receive a starting spot as well.

Meanwhile, Will Smith (catcher), Tommy Edman (second base), Freddie Freeman (first base), Max Muncy (third base), Mookie Betts (shortstop), Teoscar Hernández (outfield) and Andy Pages (outfield) were the Dodgers who advanced to the second round of All-Star Game voting as NL finalists.

The most starters from one team in All-Star Game history is five, which has occurred five times. The most All-Star selections the Dodgers have had in one game is seven, achieved in 1941, 1942, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952.

Voting concludes at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday morning, and All-Star Game starters will unveiled that afternoon on ESPN, beginning at 4 p.m. PT.

Dodgers voting update for MLB All-Star Game starters

Will Smith

Smith comfortably led NL catchers in voting through Phase 1, and has maintained that standing in the latest update before balloting closes.

The All-Star Game start would be Smith’s first of his career and third overall selection.

Freddie Freeman

Freeman also went wire-to-wire in Phase 1 of voting, and is still ahead of the New York Mets’ Pete Alonso.

Freeman is seeking a fifth fan-elected starting assignment and second in the last three years. The 2025 All-Star Game also has added sentimental value by being at Truist Park.

Tommy Edman

Edman trailed Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte throughout the voting updates and continues to lag behind in voting.

Max Muncy

Similarly, Muncy trailed San Diego Padres’ Manny Machado in voting among NL third basemen. Machado still holds an edge in All-Star finalists voting but Muncy could just as well be named a reserve given his strong turnaround.

Mookie Betts

Betts is another of the Dodgers who consistently was in second place for voting at his position and still remains there. New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor figures to be on his way to a starting nod via fan voting.

Teoscar Hernández, Andy Pages

Hernández was third among NL outfielders in the first voting update, then rose to second place. But Hernández is no longer tracking to be among the starting outfielders for the NL as he’s slipped to fourth place.

Pages wound up receiving a late surge from fans and now to qualify among the finalists in the NL outfield for his first career All-Star selection. Pages may need to settle for a likely selection as a reserve as he’s slipped to sixth place.
